Have you ever seen the commercial where the family keeps flipping the light on to admire their new kitchen – well, that’s still us and it’s been 6 months since our remodel project was completed. A BIG Thank You to Chris, Rick and Lloyd at Lakes Area Homes for creating a warm and functional space that far exceeds our expectations for the project. We really appreciated the attention to detail! Chris, as our general contractor, did an awesome job scheduling the sub-contractors – the workflow and progress met every deadline promised—we didn’t have to stress out about anything!! We are so impressed with how smoothly the cabinets and drawers function – the crew took the time to fine tune hinges and hardware for the best result. As with any remodel, there are always surprises, Chris made suggestions and addressed our concerns, really went over and above! We are pleased to recommend Lakes Area Homes as a contractor.

We just wanted to say thank you for all of the work you put in to help us recover from the water damage at our home. From the minute we met your team, we knew we were in good hands and that you would do things right. It was wonderful to know our contractor was as concerned and committed to getting us back to where we were as quickly as possible as we were, and you did not disappoint. To say we are thrilled with the end result would be an understatement. We sincerely appreciated all of the helpful advice, suggestions, careful work and considerations you offered in our project and the workmanship was outstanding. Even more, we appreciated the above and beyond effort you took with our insurance and with our frayed nerves to keep our project moving ahead and stick to the timeline. It’s not often in today’s world where you experience top notch customer service anymore, but we can honestly say that we did with Lake Area Homes. We loved the great communication, documentation and project coordination of all of the subcontractors and suppliers-even an afterhours service call to fix a minor issue and give us peace of mind. Loving our ne home! Everyone says that building a home is one of the most stressful things to go through. We didn’t think it was stressful as people had built it up to be. We have to “Thank” our general contractor, Chris for making is so much easier than expected. This was our first time building a house and we didn’t know what we didn’t know. Chris was terrific at guiding us through the process. From the initial decision of rebuilding over remodeling to helping us finding an architect. One of the biggest factors in making the build go so smooth was the communication with Chris. He kept us updated on what was happening and what was needed from us well in advance. Once the building began Chris worked consistently. After framing and the rafters went up, they noticed a window in our bedroom wasn’t centered with the tray ceiling. They called us to discuss and explain the situation which meant to move the window framing in order to center it in the room. I have looked at the window many times and been so thankful that they brought it to our attention so we were able to move it.

Throughout the entire build process, there was only a few days that they or a subcontractor weren’t working on the house. That says a lot to Chris’s ability to work with each subcontractor. The process went so well that they actually finished the project 6 weeks ahead of schedule. We are so happy with the finished result as well as the quality and care that they showed. The house turned out better than we could have ever imagined. If anyone is looking for a contractor, we would highly recommend the Lake Area Homes crew to do the job with car and pride.
